About Us

Donovan’s Supper Club is a forthcoming Coastal Casual dining establishment located in Panama City, Florida. Executive Chef Thomas Stukenborg will utilize his expertise and experience to create outstanding culinary offerings. Donovan’s Supperclub and Cocktails will source ingredients from local farmers, feature fresh seafood caught each day, and include carefully chosen beef, chicken, pork, and wild game. Guests can relish a spot at the Chef Bar, enjoy handcrafted cocktails, and partake in a table-side cooking experience.

Our Story

Welcome to Donovan’s Supperclub and Cocktails, a family-owned and operated elevated dining establishment. The Supperclub is scheduled to open in November 2025. Donovan’s is recognized in Panama City, Panama City Beach, and Holmes County as a chain of liquor stores. The family owners possess a rich history of entrepreneurship in Panama City and Panama City Beach. Having owned several restaurants in the past, the most recent being Hang 5 located on Panama City Beach, FL, where Executive Chef Thomas Stukenborg played a significant role in the restaurant's success.

Chef has always been considered family by Jason and Amanda Oakes, so when the opportunity and space became available, Chef Thomas was the clear choice to fulfill his long-held dream of becoming a restaurant owner. We believe that dining transcends mere sustenance; it is about creating an experience. From the moment you enter, you will be greeted like family in an environment that harmonizes elegance with warmth. Our mission is to establish a venue where guests can commemorate life's milestones, savor exceptional cuisine, and gather with friends, family, and colleagues in a welcoming and vibrant setting. The chef is dedicated to providing quality food, meticulously hand-selected. Allow our sommelier to pair a wine, handcrafted cocktail, or allocated bourbon with your meal.

Donovan’s Supperclub and Cocktails will showcase properly raised beef, pork, chicken, and wild game, along with fresh seafood and regional produce. By collaborating closely with trusted farms, fisheries, and local producers, we guarantee that every dish narrates a tale of freshness, care, and craftsmanship.

Our Chef's Tasting Bar is crafted to offer a genuine culinary journey, providing guests the chance to explore multiple flavors, techniques, and pairings in a unique atmosphere that combines sophistication with comfort.

In addition to our dining options, we will provide a small, intimate outdoor seating area for guests to dine by the fire. For larger gatherings, our venue is available for private parties and full restaurant buyouts for special events.

This dining experience was exceptional! We made reservations for 5pm and had wonderful seating and ambience. The chef has to be one of The Best! He was Soo Hot he set the fire alarm off with his personal table side experience! We ordered the Triple Fish dinner and Filet Mignon..cooked to perfection. We enjoyed a delicious dessert also. The crème brûlée melted in my mouth. This is now my favorite fine dining in Bay County and Florida Panhandle. The wait staff and everyone greeted us as if we've known them forever. I believe the menu will change as the Chef desires! Can't wait to try them.

Last night, on the advice of friend, my husband and I made reservations at Donovan's Supperclub to celebrate my late son's birthday. We booked the Chef's Table with Chef Thomas Stukenborg. I cannot recommend this restaurant or this experience strongly enough! Our 5 course menu included the following: (and I will surely miss some of the fancier sauce names and ingredients, but you will get the gist). I did not take any photos, I simply wanted to immerse myself in the experience, and I succeeded in that endeavor. We started with a Yellow Fin Tun on a bed of shaved cucumber with a soy reduction and a wasabi aioli. Next, we were served a cold water lobster tail on a bed of risotto with what I believe was a beurre blanc sauce topped with a blood orange glaze. Then, Chef cooked our next course tableside. Steak Diane made with the a medley of mushrooms from Play of Sunlight Farms in Tallahassee. Flambeed tableside with butter, garlic, parsley, roasted green peppercorn and a few things I am undoubtedly forgetting. (Chef told us that we were the first customers since they opened that he has done the tableside Steak Diane dish for and they videoed it, so when that shows up on their page I will add it here.) Just when I thought it could not get any better, our next course was an Espresso and Ancho Chili rubbed Elk Chop. Served on a bed of vanilla cumin smashed sweet potatoes topped with a blackberry demi glaze and a side of Granny's green beans. (This dish is on the regular menu - so you too can have the pleasure of tasting it.) Our last course was dessert. Chef's play on a smore. A chocolate ganache rolled on graham cracker crumbs, topped with a toasted marshmallow cream on a bed of raspberry compote drizzled with a dark chocolate sauce. Served with a cinnamon port. If you have read this far.... then you are getting the idea. I 10 out of 10 recommend giving Donovan's a try. We are already planning our next trip. And if you are wondering if the Chef's Table is worth the cost.... the answer in undeniably YES! Chef Thomas Stukenborg was extraordinary and we cannot wait to see him again. The whole experience made a very difficult day, a joyous occasion and for that I don't have the appropriate words of gratitude. Additional info: They serve a bourbon kissed Hanging Tomahawk steak tableside as well that looked amazing. While applying the final char, Chef set off the fire alarm, however we all applauded the event. Also, the table next to us (two lovely ladies whom we enjoyed their conversation) had well finished their dinner but stayed a little longer to just watch our dining experience.

Donovan’s Supperclub is such a great addition to Panama City. We went shortly after they opened and I was honestly impressed with how smoothly everything ran. You would never know they were newly opened because there were no hiccups at all. The food came out quickly and everything we ordered was amazing. We started with the tuna tower appetizer, had the triple tail entrée, and finished with the bread pudding for dessert. All of it was delicious. The table next to us ordered the flamed bananas foster and it was really fun to watch and looked incredible. We sat at the bar and Travis was our server, with Jacob also helping out, and they were both great. The drink selection was just as impressive as the food. They have a really nice bourbon selection, wines that pair well with the menu, and great craft cocktails. The owners were also there and clearly care about making sure everyone is having a great experience. Overall, 10 out of 10 recommend. I am so glad to have a place like this in Panama City.

Donovan’s Supper Club was absolutely phenomenal. From the moment we walked in the door to the moment we were seated, the service was top-notch. The food was outstanding, and the owners, Jason and Amanda Oakes, truly make the experience special. This is exactly what Panama City has needed for a very long time, and it has officially become our Friday night spot. Every dish was incredible — from the steak bites to the roast dinner, the baked bread with marinara, and the wine selection, which was truly amazing. One of the highlights was watching the chef prepare a tomahawk steak tableside just a few tables away, followed by an unforgettable Bananas Foster made right next to us. It was an experience, not just a meal. Yes, reservations are a must — and we didn’t hesitate to go ahead and book again for this coming Friday night. The photos online are beautiful, but the atmosphere inside is even better. Live music, incredible energy, and an upscale yet welcoming vibe make this the place to be. Donovan’s is absolutely a spot for the who’s who, and we can’t wait to go back. Highly recommend.
